PORTAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION
NEW USERS MUST REQUEST A PORTAL ACCOUNT
To create an account:

- Follow the prompts to create an account with the following information: First Name, Last Name, PERSONAL email

Portal account requests are processed manually and are not part of an automated system. Expect an email within two business days confirming creation of your FSTB Portal account.

EXSISTING USERS - SIGN IN WITH ID.IOWA.GOV
Click "Sign In with id.iowa.gov" to the right. All logins to the FSTB Acadis Portal should be done via single sign-on with id.iowa.gov.
LOCKED ACCOUNTS
For security purposes, accounts are automatically locked after three unsuccessful login attempts. To unlock your account, please contact fstb-acaidis@dps.state.ia.us for assistance.
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
Effective March 1, 2026, all certification testing fees will be the responsibility of the individual. "Bill My Department" will no longer be available. If applicable, you may submit your receipt to your department for reimbursement. Payment for this registration must be received by the FSTB no later than two weeks prior to the exam date regardless of the due date on the invoice.
Note: The FSTB retains training records for a period of ten (10) years. Training records beyond this timeframe are not retained.
TESTING AND CERTIFICATION

To register for any certification testing, you must have an active portal account and be signed in. Once logged in, navigate to "Training and Events" on the left side of the screen, then select "Available Training" to view available exam sites.
Effective March 1, 2026, candidates must hold HMA/HMO certification prior to testing FF1. Candidates who started testing both levels prior to March 1, 2026, will be allowed to continue pursuing both certifications. Registrations received requesting to test HMA/HMO and FF1 together that do not meet this requirement will be denied.
As a reminder, effective January 1, 2026, prior to registering to take the Driver/Operator - Pumper or Aerial examinations, you must provide proof of completion of an FSTB approved course of instruction.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel or withdraw your exam registration, for any reason, email fstb-acadis@dps.state.ia.us(NO PHONE CALL CANCELLATIONS) prior to the exam OR you will be counted as a "No Call - No Show" and any paid registration fees will be forfeited. Cancellation requests will be confirmed via email. You will receive a “credit” on your record that must be utilized within 6 months following your cancellation from an exam site, or any paid registration fees will be forfeited. Revisit the Acadis portal and register for another exam site.
REFUND POLICY
All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to fstb-acadis@dps.state.ia.us. Refunds may be requested for up to 30 calendar days following your cancellation from a testing or training event. Requests received after this 30-day period will not be processed. Please note, service fees are non-refundable.
